PE and Music Information

Dear Rhythm and Moves Community,

Rhythm and Moves is committed to continuing to provide quality music and physical education programming to all of our school communities. We understand the importance of continuing music and physical education under these circumstances to help provide an avenue of support both physically and emotionally for all of our community families.

Each week we will provide lessons for music and physical education in which we encourage you to do together as a family … music and movement are a wonderful way to connect with each other.

Please note how to manage grade level lessons each week:
  • There is a Music and Physical Education Folder
  • Each content folder consists of grade level folders
  • Each grade level folder consists of lessons
Two lessons per week for Physical Education
One lesson per week for Music Education

Each lesson folder consists of:
  • A PowerPoint Movie: we have verbally guided the lesson information through a power point movie
Press play and follow along: BEST form of instruction
  • A lesson plan: a written lesson that guides information that can be printed and read for direction if there is no internet connection
A Power Point: a powerpoint to support the lesson plan above which can be viewed

We wanted to provide you with as many options to access material as we can to ensure music and movement throughout the weeks ahead.  In addition to grade level program material we have also included brain breaks. Brain breaks during work time have been shown to have real benefits for children especially during times like this.  They reduce stress and frustration and increase attention and productivity. The key is to take them before fatigue, distraction or lack of focus set in.

We are here to support you and want to continue to be part of your week.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon … until then, sing loud and move.
